Kasia Kawczynski

Kasia Kawczynski is a Chicago transplant who landed where the mountains meet the sea in 2017. Her education is in philosophy and women’s and gender studies, and she has a diverse work experience in photography, sales, HR, and management. She discovered her love of law in 2020 as a deputy clerk of the Clallam County Clerk’s Office.

During that time, Kasia clerked civil, criminal, and family law hearings and trials, but felt most draw to criminal law, particularly defense work. She believes strongly in ‘innocent until proven guilty’ and in setting a standard of excellence for prosecution and properly funding criminal defense contracts.

As a law clerk with LOJAR, Kasia enjoys working closely with clients to assist in settlement conference and trial prep and to draft concise and impactful declarations. She believes in asking the right questions to see the full picture and in conveying that picture clearly on paper.

Outside the law office, Kasia is ‘mom’ to her favorite person, Oliver, and ‘cat mom’ to Milo and Gus. She enjoys traveling, exploring the Peninsula, eating good food, walks and cycling, thrifting, throwing clay, making nalewki, and spending time with family and friends.
